Grand Marshal's Emerald Hooley

Snake Saturday week opens with a party.

Hooley is Irish for party. It's the first event of Snake Saturday week: you meet the new Grand Marshal, cheer the volunteers being honored, and bid in the auctions that fund the charities in the parade.

When and where

Expected Thursday, March 4, 2027 · doors 5:30 p.m.

VooDoo Lounge at Harrah's North Kansas City (2026 venue)

2026: Thursday, March 5, at Harrah's VooDoo Lounge. 2027 details are confirmed by the board.

Meet the Grand Marshal

Past Grand Marshals nominate and vote for each new one. The Hooley is where they're introduced.

The Shamrock Award

The "Green Jacket" goes to a volunteer with at least five years of service. The BTS Saint Award honors behind-the-scenes work.

Live and silent auctions

Every dollar raised goes to local charities. One organization also receives the Emerald Cash Award.

Tables and tickets

Table partners: $300 for 8, or $500 for a main-floor table of 10 (only 6 available in 2026).
